Description
This is a cheesy, juicy, delicious sandwich that was created by my brother, Greg. He is a sandwich connoisseur. He takes his sandwiches very seriously. Trust me when I say, this sandwich is great.
Ingredients

- 2 slices of sourdough or Italian bread
- 2 tbsp pizza sauce
- 2 tbsp freshly grated Romano cheese
- 10–15 pepperoni slices
- 2–3 slices of oven roasted chicken (substitute ham or roast beef if you prefer)
- Tomato, thinly sliced
- Red onion, thinly sliced
- Banana peppers
- Sandwich Sprinkle (substitute salt, pepper, oregano if you prefer)
Instructions
- Preheat panini maker, George Foreman, or skillet
- On a plate or cutting board, lay the bread slices flat and spread 1 tbsp of pizza sauce on each slice
- On one slice of bread sprinkle 1 tbsp of Romano cheese
- Then add a layer half of the pepperoni
- Add 2-3 slices of chicken
- Layer the tomato, onion, and banana pepper
- Top with the rest of the pepperoni and the remaining tbsp of Romano cheese
- Sprinkle a pinch of Penzey’s Sandwich Sprinkle on top of the cheese
- Top with remaining slice of bread, with sauced side facing the cheese.
- Grill until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
