Description

This perfectly cooked bacon is so easy, and prevents you from having to deal with grease splattering on you and your stove.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Line a half sheet pan, or two cookie sheets, with foil.
  3. Place strips of bacon onto foil lined pan, being sure that the bacon is in one single layer.
  4. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes depending on your desired crispiness. We like our bacon crisp so we bake it for at least 30 minutes. If you are using 2 cookie sheets, make sure that, halfway through the baking time, you move the top cookie sheet to the bottom rack and the bottom cookie sheet to the top rack.

Notes

The package of bacon says one serving size is 2 strips of bacon.  That doesn’t seem like enough to me, but that is what I based my number of servings on in this recipe.

To Freeze: Cook bacon as directed, subtracting a couple of minutes.  You want to take the bacon out just before it reaches your preferred level of crispiness.  Place bacon on a paper towels to cool.  Once cooled, place in a freezer bag and freeze.

When ready to eat: Take bacon out and either heat it in a skillet for a couple of minutes or you can put it in the microwave for about 30 seconds or until heated through.
