Description

Asparagus is a staple in our house.  This oven roasted asparagus is easy and delicious.  It goes great with any meal.  We like to have it along side our Oven Roasted Turkey Breast or this delicious Slow Cooker Hot Chicken Sandwich recipe.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bunch of asparagus (about 1 pound)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Prep asparagus spears by holding them at both ends and bending them until they snap.  Throw away bottom part that snapped off.
  3. Line a baking sheet with tin foil and spray it with cooking spray.
  4. Lay out your asparagus spears in one layer.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil.  Season with seasonings and then stir asparagus around a little to evenly distribute seasonings.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until tender.  The length of time to bake it depends on how large your spears are.  The bigger they are the longer they will take to cook.
