Description

This homemade taco seasoning is the best and much better for you than the packets in the store.  I like knowing all the ingredients that go into my food.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons cumin
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground oregano, you can substitute 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl. Store in an air tight container.
  2. You will use 2 tablespoons of seasoning per pound of meat.

Notes

This recipe makes about 1/2 cup of seasoning.

I like to make a triple or quadruple batch so I always have taco seasoning ready.
